Welcome to St. Anselm Council 15133 of the Knights of Columbus
The council is located at St. Anselm Parish in Madisonville, Louisiana, on the northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. We were granted our charter in
September, 2010, through the direction of the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council and the efforts of
Charter Grand Knight Les Bascle and
Charter Deputy Grand Knight Ed Estapa along with the blessings of our pastor
Msgr. Frank Giroir. The council began with
53 charter members.
The Council meetings are held in St. Joseph Hall on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. A dinner is usually served at 6:30 PM. The Officers meet on the last Wednesday of the month in St. Joseph Hall at 7:00 PM. Though it's called the Officers Meeting, all members are eligible and invited to attend.
Introduction to the Knights of Columbus
The Knights are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism and the defense of the priesthood. The Order is consecrated to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Order is unequivocal in its loyalty to the Pope, the Vicar of Christ on earth. We are firmly committed to the protection of human life, from
conception to natural death, and to the preservation and defense of the family.
